The Malala effect
The Malala effect is about a 14 year old women who lives in Pakistan and spoke up for women and girls that women and girls have equal rights and should be asserted into the world. Malala was attacked by the Taliban. The next day after she spoke up, she was driving to school and got shot in the head, but she did survived but wont make it for long the hospital says. Children, adults, political parties and even the army have been stunned by the Taliban’s insane act. People around the world are outraged and thinking of a plan to stop this from happening in future years. The most shocking part is that the Taliban threaten to shoot the 14-year-old again if she survives. I find this outrages because this should not be acceptable in any country no matter what. I do think it was kinda of dumb of the girl to speak up because the Taliban run Pakistan and from previous times people who speak up die usually in the next week. But I think that the world should do something and try to eliminate the Taliban organization because they are causing to much trouble and ruining the middle-east.
This is a terrible incident that really shows people that women in countries in these still have very little rights. It shows how some countries still have not evolved from life in Canada and the US in early 1900's when women weren't allowed to do anything. I think that this assassination gained so much popularity rather than the many other ones is because of the victim involved and why it happened. This young girl was only speaking her mind and yet she faced such severe cruelty. I think this is a very brave act because she probably knew the consequences of her actions. I really hope that more people learn about this and recognize what is really happening in the Middle East and how different it is than life in developed and free countries.
